The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) honors Southwest Gas at the association’s annual installation and awards luncheon.

January 5, 2012 – Southwest Gas Presents $50K Energy Audit Rebate Check
Southwest Gas presented a $50,000 check to the Naval Air Station Fallon Public Works Department for its participation in the company’s commercial energy audit program which will save energy and money.

October 11, 2011 – Southwest Gas Volunteers Plant a Path to a Better Future
60 plus volunteers from the Southwest Gas Blue - Building Lives Up Everywhere team in conjunction with Whole Foods Market and Rebuilding Together spent the day building a walking path, refurbishing playground equipment and preparing the five-acre public garden for planting of fruits and vegetables at the Tonopah Community Garden (TCG), a community-based nonprofit organization that serves surrounding at-risk neighborhoods.

August 22, 2011 – AGA Commends DOE's Full-Fuel-Cycle Adoption
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy published in the Federal Register on August 18, a Statement of Policy that it will use full-fuel-cycle measures of energy use and emissions when evaluating energy conservation standards for appliances. DOE will work with the FTC to make information available to customers to help them better understand the energy and environmental impacts of their appliance choices.
