As part of the Smarter Greener Better Homes program, Southwest Gas offers homebuilders in Arizona incentives for building ENERGY STAR certified homes and for installing ENERGY STAR qualified natural gas tankless water heaters and attic insulation.

An ENERGY STAR home guarantees that a new home is significantly more energy-efficient than a standard home. Homebuyers routinely seek homes with proven energy savings that also help the environment through reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. An ENERGY STAR home meets these needs with energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment, high-performance windows, effective insulation and tight construction and ducts.

- Smarter through superior construction, high-efficient heating, cooling and water heating systems, along with choices for other natural gas appliances.
- Greener as it helps preserve the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helps reduce energy costs.
- Better as an ENERGY STAR home provides all the features and amenities a new home owner is looking for as they increase their environmental awareness and are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint.
